How I can help

I’m determined to be the best representative I can be for our community and that starts with helping you.

Levels of Government

In NSW, we have three different levels of government: Local, State and Federal. Each level of government is responsible for delivering specific services to our community.

The City of Newcastle can help with the majority of roads, footpaths, land rates, residential development, waste collection and sporting fields.

You can read about how I can help with Local Government matters here on my website and contact the City via newcastle.nsw.gov.au.

Your State MP can help with social housing, public schools, public hospitals, emergency services, public transport and Revenue NSW.

The State Member for Newcastle is Tim Crakanthorp MP and he can be contacted via timcrakanthorp.com.

The State member for Charlestown is Jodie Harrison MP and she can be contacted via jodieharrison.com.

Your Federal MP can help with immigration, taxation, aged care, tertiary education, defence, Centrelink, Medicare, child support, veterans’ affairs and telecommunications.

The Federal Member for Newcastle is Sharon Claydon MP and she can be contacted via sharonclaydon.com.

How I can help

Local Government Services

If you have a Local Government issue I may be able to assist with information, or by making representations to City Council and management.

In the first instance, you can lodge requests through the City’s website or by calling the customer service centre on 4974 2000.

Infrastructure, Traffic and Transport

Our City’s infrastructure and transport are areas that are particularly important to me. As a member of the Newcastle City Traffic Committee, I have a voice on proposed changes to the local road network across the city.

Advocacy

I’m all about fighting for Newcastle to be a City where everyone in our community can thrive. So I am determined to stand up and speak out when it matters so our voices are heard.
